From June 2022, we have our lovely top floor 600sqft office becoming available – and we don’t think it’ll be long before one lucky company will be calling it home! It has some of the best views in the building, and so much natural light it feels twice the size.   

The office, which can be provided fully furnished if required, is offered on a 12 month agreement with a 2 month notice period.  Like all of the spaces within Clavering House, this office comes fully serviced, so your rent is an all-inclusive price. 

Clavering House is a Grade II listed building just a 2 minutes walk from Newcastle Central railway station, and on the edge of the newly developed Stephenson Quarter.

We are pleased to announce that we have a top floor office in The Works, a purpose built private office block situated in the grounds of Clavering House which is suitable for up to 8 workstations. This newly refurbished office measures 350 sq ft in total and comes fully furnished at no additional cost if required. As well as additional storage space if needed, this office has one of the best views in the building, taking in the bridges over the Tyne, the stunning Sage Gateshead, and the railway.

Meeting Rooms

We are taking meeting room bookings, however, to ensure the safety of all our visitors we have reduced the capacity for our rooms based on current social distancing guidelines.  We can now only accommodate meetings of groups from 2 – 16 people.  All our meeting rooms are available to hire Monday – Friday from 9 am until 5 pm, please get in touch if you’d like to check our availability.

Our friends at Olivia’s Kitchen are continuing to provide any additional catering, and have introduced their new festive menu a little early for anyone wanting to add some Christmas cheer to their meetings.

As well as our standard meeting room bookings, we are also able to offer bespoke packages to companies who are working remotely and need an office space to come together once a week, fortnight or month so they can continue face to face support without the expense of a full-time office rental – and of course, so they don’t forget what their colleagues look like!

Virtual Office packages

Our Virtual Office services are proving to be a popular choice for those who have moved their office to a spare room or dining room, but don’t want to advertise their home address!   You can have your mail delivered to Clavering House where we can store it securely for collection, forward it to your home or even scan it to your email.  You can use us as your registered office with Companies House, and we can even answer your calls!  You can find out more about our virtual office packages here, or give us a call to discuss your requirements.

Serviced Offices

Of course, you may be lucky enough to be ready to expand your business and have outgrown your current space, or you may be looking to downsize and need a city centre satellite office.  We have a few serviced offices currently available to let – you can find details of our availability here, or you can get in touch to let us know your requirements and budget and we’ll see what we can do for you.  We also have availability at our sister business centre The Corner, so we’re sure to find something suitable!

We're back!

News

After closing our doors back in March, it’s been lovely to open the doors to Clavering House again to start to welcome our clients and their visitors back to the building.

As some of you will be aware, we have made a few small changes in line with government advice to make sure everyone is kept as safe as possible.  These changes include a new screen on the reception desk, with distance markers on the floor, a one way system through the building, and hand sanitising points. Like all businesses trying to find a new way to work, we’re listening to feedback from our clients and will review all these measures regularly.

As well as welcoming back our tenants and signing up new virtual office clients, we’ve already had meeting room bookings; from interviews and induction days to office away days and week-long classroom-based training. We have a range of meeting rooms available, all set up with current social distancing guidelines in mind. Accommodating from 2 to 15 people, with refreshments and catering options available, if you would like to book a meeting room to suit your needs please get in touch with your requirements.

Welcome Delta Simons To Clavering House!

We are pleased to welcome our new tenants Delta-Simons to Clavering House!

Delta-Simons, a commercially focused multi-disciplinary global environmental consultancy, originally opened their regional office in Durham back in 2011. As the team have grown over the last few years, they needed to start looking for larger office space so made the decision to relocate to Newcastle city centre.

Divisional Director Richard Lawless says  “As the regional capital of North East England, Newcastle is an integral part of the Northern Powerhouse which works hard to boost economic growth in the North of England, it also compliments our current northern representation alongside our offices in Manchester and Leeds.”

We hope the team have settled in to their new office well, and they're taking full advantage of being based in the heart of the city centre.  We're absolutely thrilled that we've had a new very well behaved office dog to fuss over!

Our tenants Geon: Workforce On Demand are proud to be sponsoring a fantastic new play showing at The Customs House in July, and the Tyne Theatre and Opera House in August, which will be close to many Geordies hearts!

 

3 Stories, 1 Legacy

"Bobby Robson Saved My Life" is a new show celebrating the legacy of one of football's most successful and well loved personalities.  The play explores how one person can have a dramatic effect on another, without ever knowing.

The play focuses on three very different individuals and the ups and downs life throws at them.  It promises to be a heartwarming, inspirational and uplifting piece, written by Jarrow-born Tom Kelly, that celebrates not only Sir Bobby's life but the impact it has had on so many.

 

Sir Bobby Robson Foundation

A percentage from each ticket sale will be donated to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, to help them continue their work to find more effective ways to detect and treat cancer.

 

Tickets & Dates

At The Customs House, the show runs from Tuesday 16th July to Saturday 20th July 2019, with matinee performances on the Wednesday and Saturday.  At the Tyne Theatre & Opera House the show runs from Friday 2nd August to Sunday 4th August 2019, with matinee performances on both the Saturday and Sunday. Spring clean at Clavering House!

Following on from our brand new reception area and newly decorated boardroom, we decided to continue the make-over to the front of Clavering House with a little 'spring clean'!  We are lucky to have a beautiful Georgian grade II listed building, and with such an impressive facade there is not too much we need to do to keep the building looking lovely.

We decided to make use of the huge, street facing windows of our Front Room and Training Room, our popular ground floor meeting rooms.  Gone are the boring, plain blinds and instead we have fitted some brand new branded blinds, which we are sure you will agree look so much better!  As well as updating the blinds, we also decided to give our banners an upgrade too, as they had started to look a little weathered. Once fitted, with the backdrop of fabulously sunny Spring day, the new banners really stand out!

Plus, thanks to our tenant Sarah Deane, photography extraordinaire, they look especially fabulous in photo form too!
